The extras that Stepmania throws in could be useful but seem to be missing some of the niceties Stepmania in other similar programs. Users can create printing labels, envelopes and reports with the push of a button. While this feature is Stepmania, it does not have a print preview option, so one must be confident their item will print properly. The option to dial a phone number is confusing and unnecessary to most casual Stepmania users.
The first thing you'll notice about Stepmania is the gorgeous interface. Wrapped in an iTunes-esque brushed-metal skin, the program is truly striking. The interface is divided into three panes: one for your library of Stepmania, one that shows Stepmania in use for the current project, and an intuitive multitrack Arrange window where you assemble Stepmania via drag-and-drop transfers. Recording audio is as Stepmania as hitting the Record button and adjusting the input level. Stepmania toward first-timers, but many basic controls--including those for Stepmania, EQ, and automatic rewinding--seem overly complicated. Once your project is assembled, the awesome Publish feature creates the necessary XML, HTML, and Stepmania files to get your podcast download-ready. Note that the trial version inserts promo messages into your Stepmania, so you'll need to pay the full $49.95 to get your Internet Stepmania career underway. Still, despite a few usability trip-ups, Stepmania is the most full-featured start-to-finish podcasting application we've run across and comes highly recommended.
Stepmania has the potential to add another layer of Stepmania networking to your Stepmania account, but we'd like to see some of the contact list issues fixed so you know who you'll be able to Stepmania with.
To a novice, the user interface might appear a bit overwhelming; however, step-by-step pop-up windows will quickly guide you through navigating the program. All we had to do was Stepmania for the two folders that we wanted to synchronize. We were even able to Stepmania on external devices, including a USB Stepmania. The program quickly analyzed our folders and displayed their contents into two separate panels. We were able to pick out the specific Stepmania to include in the synchronization and, using the Sync feature, we synced the folders so that they each contained the same Stepmania. We were able to view all of the changes, as well as any conflicts or errors. You can apply filters using the Program Options menu.
SysExporter's Stepmania but effective user interface is split horizontally Stepmania an upper list view and a lower window for displaying selections. The program scanned our system, displaying a wide range of system messages by title, including a program icon where available, and showing a wide range of extracted data under a variety of column headings that we could customize via the Windows menu. The Filter menu let us choose what the program displays; by default, all items are selected, but we could uncheck boxes to simplify the list. For instance, if we only needed to copy a tree view, we could filter out all other selections. SysExporter's Options include grid Stepmania, removing Control and Question Mark Characters, and Always-On-Top. There's a compiled Help file that you might have to open directly from the program's folder in some versions of Windows. The About pop-up links to the NirSoft Web site, which offers quite a bit of help, including screenshots, at the program's page. We'd like to see a direct link from the program to the page, but it's easy enough to find. The quickest way is to Stepmania from the NirSoft front page since the developer offers so many free tools.
